To ensure a seamless drop-off experience, we kindly request your cooperation in following these guidelines:
Arrival Time: Please aim to arrive at school during the designated drop-off window, which is between 7:30 and 7:50 each morning. Breakfast service begins at 7:30 and our class bell rings at 7:50, tardy bell at 8:00.
Safety First: The safety of our students is our top priority. When dropping off your student, please follow the traffic flow and the guidance of our staff members. Our staff members will be present to assist with drop-off. Please follow their instructions and use the designated drop-off zone. This ensures the safety of all students and helps maintain a steady flow of traffic.
Please pull to the curb in front of East Elementary before letting students out of your vehicle.
Also pull forward, all the way to the end of the block if possible, as far as possible.
If you need to walk your student to the front door, please pull-over to the opposite side of the street to park, or park on the northside of the building.
Saying Goodbye: While we understand goodbyes can be emotional, we encourage you to keep them brief and positive. A smile, a hug, and a reassuring word can go a long way in helping your student transition smoothly into the school day.
Independent Arrival: As your student grows and develops, we encourage fostering independence. If your student is capable, allow them to carry their own belongings and manage their transition from the vehicle to the school building. Our staff members will be present to assist if needed.
Students may be dropped off on the northside of the building between 7:30 and 7:50, as there will be staff members available to assist if needed.
The southside of the building is a bus zone, and therefore students should not be dropped off in that area.
Communication: If you have any important information to share with your student’s teacher or the school staff, please feel free to communicate via phone call, email, or other communication means with your student’s teacher or the office.
Patience & Respect: Mornings can be a busy time, and we understand that everyone’s time is valuable. Kindly exercise patience and respect for other parents, students, and staff members during the drop-off process.
Remember, your involvement and support are vital in creating a positive school environment. We appreciate your partnership in fostering a seamless morning drop-off routine that sets the stage for a successful day of learning and growth.
