We know that students learn best when they are at school, on time, and ready to learn. Every school day gives your student opportunities to grow academically, build friendships, develop confidence, and be part of our East Elementary community.
Each month, our classes will compete for the Attendance Trophy!
The class with the fewest number of tardies and absences will win the Attendance Trophy and bragging rights for the month!

You are an important part of our attendance team. You can help by:
Making school attendance a priority.
Establishing consistent morning and bedtime routines.
Scheduling appointments outside the school day whenever possible.
Getting your child to school on time each morning - tardy bell rings at 7:55!
Communicating with the school when your child must be absent.
Of course, children who are sick should stay home when appropriate. Our goal isn't perfect attendance at all costs. Our goal is to build strong attendance habits and reduce unnecessary absences.
Missing just a few days here and there can add up quickly. Consistent attendance helps children stay connected to classroom learning and makes it easier for them to keep building on the skills they've already learned.
