Subjects Taught
2nd Grade

I knew that I wanted to be a teacher from the time I was a little girl; therefore, I ventured into education the first chance I got.  I went to high school at Teacher's Academy in Edinburg, Texas and graduated in May of 2004.  I went on to pursue my education with Texas State Technical College in Harlingen, graduated from with an Associates in Education.  In May 2013 I graduated from Texas A&M Kingsville with a Bachelor of Applied Science.  Shortly after I obtained my Texas Teaching Certificate and went on to begin teaching!

This is my fourth year of teaching in 2nd grade. I originally taught in South Texas for three years (also with 2nd grade).  This will be my first year with the Anadarko Public School System (East Elementary).  I am excited to embark on a new adventure here in Oklahoma.  Prior to teaching I completed observation hours with two separate public schools in order to obtain my degree

My name is Amber Nicole Romero.  I was born on November 2nd, 1985.  I grew up the oldest of five crazy brothers and a beautiful and talented baby sister.  I grew up admiring my mother and adoring my father (I am a Daddy's Little Girl).  I lived in McAllen (South) Texas from the time I was born until I turned 5.  I moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico for five years, then moved back to McAllen, Texas.  I completed my high school career and went on to work and begin my college career.  While in high school I met my fiance and future step daughter Savannah.  After 7 years we welcomed a baby girl to our family (Jacquelyn).  I completed college and went on to teach.  Shortly after my fiance got hired for a position in Chickasha, Oklahoma.  I completed three years of teaching in McAllen, and then moved to Oklahoma to be with him.  My daughter and I are now reunited with him and excited to start here at East Elementary School.
